Integrated Living

Integration

To live an integrated life in the Christian sense is to strive toward wholeness as created images of God. The gospel message punctuates the source, design and disposition people of faith should emulate as children of one Father Creator. It is the incarnation that produces, not only the living example of what it looks like to strive for an integrated life, but also the words Christ our brother, Lord and savior offers His Church.

Our ever growing understanding of Christ through contemplation of his word and example unlocks the mystery of who we are. Our definition as men and women relating to each other in particular ways begins in the book of Genesis while Jesus re-affirms these truths throughout His Gospel accounts. Finally, St. Paul pleads to the early Christian disciples as he writes;

"I appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." Romans 12:1-2 RSV-CE

St. Paul pleads with us to this day...Come, strive for integration.
